Σπουδές: Πτυχιούχος της Παιδαγωγικής Ακαδημίας Ρόδου, του Π.Τ.Δ.Ε. του Πανεπιστημίου Αιγαίου και του Τμήματος Φιλοσοφίας, Παιδαγωγικής και Ψυχολογίας της Φιλοσοφικής Σχολής του Ε.Κ.Π.Α, από το οποίο απέκτησε τη διδακτορική του διατριβή.

 

Κοινοβουλευτικές Δραστηριότητες

• Στις εκλογές της 6ης Μαΐου 2012 εξελέγη Βουλευτής Δωδεκανήσου και στις εκλογές που ακολούθησαν, στις 17 Ιουνίου, επανεξελέγη.

• Στις εκλογές της 25ης Ιανουαρίου 2015 εξελέγη, πρώτος Βουλευτής σε σταυρούς προτίμησης στα Δωδεκάνησα και επανεξελέγη στις επαναληπτικές εκλογές του Σεπτεμβρίου του ίδιου έτους.

• Στις εκλογές της 7ης Ιουλίου 2019 επανεξελέγη, πρώτος Βουλευτής με 17.774 σταυρούς προτίμησης στα Δωδεκάνησα.

• Στις εκλογές της 21η Μαΐου 2023 και στις επαναληπτικές της 25ης Ιουνίου 2023, επανεξελέγη Βουλευτής Δωδεκανήσου.

• Κατά τη θητεία του ως Βουλευτής Δωδεκανήσου από το 2012 έως το 2015, εξελέγη Γραμματέας της Διαρκούς Επιτροπής Μορφωτικών Υποθέσεων της Βουλής, Γραμματέας στην Ειδική Μόνιμη Επιτροπή Ελληνισμού της Διασποράς και ήταν μέλος της Διαρκούς Επιτροπής Παραγωγής και Εμπορίου, της Ειδικής Μόνιμης Επιτροπής Οδικής Ασφάλειας, της Διαρκούς Επιτροπής Μορφωτικών Υποθέσεων, της Ειδικής Επιτροπής Έρευνας και Τεχνολογίας, της Επιτροπής Βιβλιοθήκης της Βουλής, της Επιτροπής Εθνικής Άμυνας και της Επιτροπής Οικονομικών Υποθέσεων της Βουλής. Έχει διατελέσει Πρόεδρος της Βουλής των Εφήβων.

• Από τον Ιούλιο του 2019 μέχρι και τον Ιανουάριο του 2021 διετέλεσε Υφυπουργός Τουρισμού.

• Από τον Ιανουάριο του 2021 εξελέγη Πρόεδρος της Ειδικής Μόνιμης Επιτροπής Περιφερειών της Βουλής των Ελλήνων και μέλος της Επιτροπής Οικονομικών Υποθέσεων και της Επιτροπής Δημόσιας Διοίκησης, Δημόσιας τάξης και Δικαιοσύνης της Βουλής.

• Στην κοινοβουλευτική του θητεία από το 2023 και εξής, επανεξελέγη με διακομματική πλειοψηφία Πρόεδρος της Ειδικής Μόνιμης Επιτροπής Περιφερειών της Βουλής και Πρόεδρος στην Υποεπιτροπή Νησιωτικών Περιοχών και στην Υποεπιτροπή Ορεινών Περιοχών, οι οποίες διαχωρίστηκαν σε αυτόνομες με απόφαση της Ολομέλειας της Βουλής (ΦΕΚ 22Α/12.02.2024).

Είναι, επίσης, Πρόεδρος της Ομάδας Φιλίας Ελλάδας – Βελγίου, καθώς και της Ομάδας Φιλίας Ελλάδας – Κροατίας.

Είναι μέλος της Διαρκούς Επιτροπής Οικονομικών Υποθέσεων, της Διαρκούς Επιτροπής Παραγωγής και Εμπορίου, της Διαρκούς Επιτροπής Μορφωτικών Υποθέσεων, της Ειδικής Μόνιμης Επιτροπής Θεσμών και Διαφάνειας της Βουλής των Ελλήνων, καθώς και μέλος στις Ομάδες Φιλίας της Αυστραλίας, των ΗΠΑ, της Σερβίας

Πολιτικές / Κοινωνικές Δραστηριότητες

• Ο Μάνος Κόνσολας είναι Καθηγητής στη σχολή Ανθρωπιστικών Επιστημών του Πανεπιστημίου Αιγαίου με μεγάλη διδακτική, διοικητική, ερευνητική και συγγραφική δράση στην Τριτοβάθμια Εκπαίδευση.

• Είναι επιστημονικός συνεργάτης σε ινστιτούτα και κρατικά ιδρύματα και μέλος σε διεθνείς επιστημονικές και εκπαιδευτικές ενώσεις.

• Έχει διατελέσει Πρόεδρος του Δημοτικού Συμβουλίου του Δήμου Ρόδου την περίοδο 2006-2010.

• Κατά τη διάρκεια της κοινοβουλευτικής του θητείας 2015-2019 είχε οριστεί δύο φορές υπεύθυνος Τομέα Τουρισμού της Νέας Δημοκρατίας.

Studies: Graduate of the Pedagogical Academy of Rhodes, the P.T.D.E. of the University of the Aegean and the Department of Philosophy, Pedagogy and Psychology of the Faculty of Philosophy of the National School of Education, from which he also obtained his Doctoral thesis.

Parliamentary Activities

• At the May 6, 2012 elections, Manos Konsolas was elected as Member of Parliament for the Electoral District of Dodecanese and in the following elections, on June 17, he was re-elected.

• At the January 25, 2015 elections, he was elected as Member of Parliament for the Electoral District of Dodecanese and was re-elected at the September elections of the same year.

• At the elections of July 7, 2019, he was re-elected as Member of Parliament polling 17.774 votes, the highest number of votes in the Dodecanese, and he was assigned as Deputy Minister of Tourism by Prime Minister Kyriakos Mitsotakis.

• At the elections of May 21, 2023, and the runoff elections of June 25, 2023, he was re-elected as Member of Parliament for the Dodecanese.

• During his term as MP in the Dodecanese from 2012 to 2019, he was elected Secretary of the Standing Committee on Education and Secretary of the Special Permanent Committee on Greeks Abroad. He has also served as a member of the Standing Committee on Production and Trade, the Special Standing Committee on Road Safety, the Standing Committee on Education Affairs, the Special Committee on Research and Technology, the Committee on Parliamentary Library, the National Defense Committee and the Committee on Economic Affairs. He also served as President of Youth Parliament.

• From July 2019 until January 2021 he served as Deputy Minister of Tourism.

• Since January 2021, he was elected President of the Special Standing Committee of the Regions of the Hellenic Parliament and of the Insular and Mountainous Regions Subcommittee of the Committee of Regions and a member of the Committee on Economic Affairs and the Committee on Public Administration, Public Order and Justice of the Parliament.

• During his parliamentary term from 2023 onward, he was re-elected by cross-party majority as Chairman of the Parliament’s Special Permanent Committee on Regions, as well as Chairman of both the Subcommittee on Island Regions and the Subcommittee on Mountainous Regions, which were established as independent entities by decision of the Plenary of the Hellenic Parliament (Government Gazette 22A/12.02.2024).

He is also President of the Greece-Belgium Friendship Group, as well as the Greece-Croatia Friendship Group.

He is a member of the Standing Committee on Economic Affairs, the Standing Committee on Production and Trade, the Standing Committee on Educational Affairs, the Special Standing Committee on Institutions and Transparency of the Hellenic Parliament, as well as a member of the Friendship Groups of Australia, the USA, and Serbia.

Political / Social Activities

• Manos Konsolas is a Professor at the School of Humanities of the University of the Aegean with extensive teaching, administrative, research and writing activities in Higher Education.

• He is a scientific collaborator at institutes and government institutions and a member of international scientific and educational associations.

• He has served as President of the Municipality Council of Rhodes from 2006 to 2010.

• During his parliamentary term from 2015 to 2019, he was appointed twice as Head of the Tourism Sector for New Democracy.
